The year of my life
I think EF did a really good job preparing all of us students for the coming (now past) year and I thought that it was that great that I'm now in Thornwood NY as an ambassador at the welcome days.
My IEC Marta Peterson is one of the cutest people I know. She was always there for me if I had any problems and I really loved knowing that no matter what I have someone to talk to about anything or if I need help that someone is there for me. So I think this system works out really good and it helped me a lot.
My high school BEHS in WA was quite awesome and a really social school i felt accepted my first day of football practice even though i didn't necessarily speak a lot or knew the game at all. The best part was the people that I got to know there, who made Burlington my only real home. Also my teachers were really supportive and I've had a lot of fun being involved in activities.
Who said you can't choose your family? Well I didn't at the beginning but by the end of the year my host family wasn't a host family anymore but definitely a second real one. I'll already go back in October wich is only six weeks after I get back home cause this time over here it was so awesome and I can't even put it in words.
I'm very thankful for this year and wish it would have never stopped. I hope to be able to stay involved with EF as an ambassador or maybe as a real job at some point to be able to share my experience.
